    Created in 2018

    Direct investment support paid to farmers each crop season, with no cap on acreage.

    The first per-acre farmer investment support scheme of its kind in India. Several states and the Centre later adopted the model.

    Created in 2018

    Group life insurance for farmers aged 18–59, with the premium paid by the state.

    Cover of ₹5,00,000 is paid to the family within days of a farmer's death, regardless of cause.

  • Aasara Pensions

    Created in 2014

    Monthly social security pensions for the elderly, widows, people with disabilities, weavers, toddy tappers and others.

    Introduced in the first year of the state and widened repeatedly, extending pensions to categories that had none.

  • Mission Bhagiratha

    Created in 2016

    A statewide grid delivering treated piped drinking water to rural households.

    Built to reach every rural habitation in the state with piped water rather than relying on hand pumps and tankers.
