- 2001
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi is founded on 27 April with a single objective: a separate state of Telangana.
- 2014
On 2 June, Telangana becomes India's 29th state. K. Chandrashekar Rao becomes its first Chief Minister.
- 2018
The party returns to government for a second term.
- 2022
On 5 October the party resolves to rename itself Bharat Rashtra Samithi; the Election Commission approves the change on 8 December.
- 2023
The party wins 39 assembly seats and moves to the opposition benches.
The party's election symbol is the car. Its structure runs from the booth committee upwards, in every constituency in Telangana.
